Our golden boys, Night Riots, premiere their new video tomorrow with FILTER Magazine, and we cannot wait... We have already seen a sneak peek and have to say, it's pretty epic. So while you countdown with us until the premiere, take a look at the behind-the-scenes action that made this wonderful masterpiece... Here's a lil note from Travis and some pics to go along with it!
We filmed this video during four brutal overnight sessions at the end of July. We had a few days home between tour dates and Mark Eaton hit us up to see if we wanted to put something together for Remedy. He drove up from San Diego and we came up with a few concepts. The themes of the video are light vs dark and reserved vs uninhibited. We also wanted to play with shadows and projections. We bought a ton of fabric from Walmart and sewed it all together to make a huge light diffusing tent. We then filmed in this great big wine warehouse that a friend of ours let us utilize. We had other obligations during the day and couldn’t get to filming until around and didn't finish until around 8 am each day. I remember we’d be so focused on working that no one would keep track of the time. Suddenly the metal of the huge warehouse would start to make these creepy clicking sounds as the early morning winds would start up and I would see the grey blue light start to pour into the building through the skylights. After the fourth day of this we had so much material that Mark said he felt he had enough to make something fantastic and he made his way back down the coast to put the thing together.
