  • Congrats, Daniel Ricciardo on Your Hungarian Grand Prix Win!!

    Both last year and this year, our good bud Daniel Ricciardo walked into this race not expected to win. This year, he listened to Angels and Airwaves  and won. Congratulations, mate, and epic win! Daniel's quote after the race, "I'm young, I'm still going to keep improving. I ain't getting slower." Look at this awesome dance Daniel does in hopes to get his race engineer to lighten up!
  • Get a FREE Ride to the Switchfoot Bro-Am Tomorrow!

    Heads up, Bro-Am attendees! We are providing free shuttles all day (10:30am– 6pm) to and from San Dieguito Academy (800 Santa Fe Dr., Encinitas, CA) and Moonlight Beach to help ease the traffic in the neighboring areas. They have also added a few neighborhood stops (including the Macbeth Footwear Flagship Boutique) along Pacific Coast Highway to make it easier to get to the event. Other neighborhood stops include FISH 101 Restaurant and Leucadia Roadside Park! Walk on over, hop on, and join us at the Bro-Am tomorrow! Can't wait to see you there! We will also have a photo booth set up - so be sure to come by, say hi, and take a pic!

  • Groezrock Kicked Some Serious Ass!

    The past weekend 30,000 people travelled to Meerhout, Belgium for Groezrock festival, the number one Punk and Hardcore festival in Europe.  We hosted 1 of the 4 stages at this famous festival. 10 bands that played our stage won their slot through a band competition. This year the following bands got the opportunity to present themselves to their core audience; The Tramps, Still Bust, Fathoms, My Extraordinary, Kids Insane, The Ignored, Moments, River Jumpers, Shell Beach and the band that got the most votes and therefore won our killer competition came all the way from italy; Edward in Venice . Headlining the Macbeth stage powered by Blackstar where long time Macbeth family bands, Chunk! No Captain Chunk!, INVSN, Blitz Kids & Bury Tomorrow. This year was a tremendous success and we’d like to thank all the bands that came all the way to Belgium, you guys kicked ass! Also we’d like to thank the Macbeth – Blackstar Amplification crew for working their balls off, Hans Maes the promotor of Groezrock and his colleagues, Paul Andrew Hewitt and his team of barbers for running the Macbeth Barbershop powered by Uppercut Deluxe, John Wood Cases for the flight cases, Marianne Harris for the awesome photos, Hubrecht, Laurens and Anton Gun for the videos , Pistonhead Lager for the beers and all our friends and bands for stopping by and hanging out in our backstage lounge area!   • Macbeth presents: Taking Back Sunday, Idlehands, Mini Death at the Zappos Rideshop Series May 16th!

    We are pleased to be taking one of our all-time favorite bands ever with us to Las Vegas on May 16th for the Zappos Rideshop Series - TAKING BACK SUNDAY! Idlehands and Mini Death will be opening the show AND best of all, the guys from TBS will be doing a signing just for you at 5:30pm! The event is FREE and there are going to be all sorts of rad skateboarders and brands there. Be there or be square!  
  • New Music Tuesdays: Soda Pants!

    Soda Pants has just premiered their debut single exclusively on "Amarillo," the tenth track off their upcoming self-titled full-length album, is a folk rock, catchy tune. Check it out below! Soda Pants is a group of young, talented folk-rock virtuosos influenced by classic rock legends such as Paul Simon, The Band, and Crosby, Stills, Nash, and Young. The group formed at UCSD in March 2012 when musicians Erin Bower, Will Chapman, Mike Sierks, and Grady Kestler met and entered the Battle of the Bands. The folk rock four-piece began touring across the west coast, opening for eclectic acts such as Matt & Kim, Capital Cities, Portugal the Man, Andrew McMahon, the Mowglis, Youngblood Hawke, Run River North, and many more. Soda Pants was later given the San Diego Music Award for Best New Artist in 2013, opened for Conan O’ Brien during a visit to UCSD, and received airplay on 102.1 KPRI, 94.9 FM, and 88.1 KPFZ. The group’s debut self-titled album will be released on May 9th, 2014. The LP was produced, recorded, and mixed by Jeff Berkley at Berkley Sound and mastered at Lurssen Mastering Studios by Gavin Lurssen and Reuben Cohen.   • Vinyl, Vegan Cookies, Art and Music = Perfect Combo

      As you know, this last Saturday was Record Store Day and it was awesome! Thanks to Sound and Style Preservation for bringing out so many uh-mazing records. Thank you to Caroline Corn, Soda Pants, and Chris Cote for their stellar acoustic performances. Small Batch Baking made some yummy vegan treats for everyone to keep everyone's sugar levels up, and lastly, Wend was up on a ladder adorning our beautiful store front. All in all, we would say it was a great day! Special thanks to all our rad customers that stopped by! Here are a few pics from the occasion.
