Chances are you’ve seen his work. In fact, if you live in or have visited NY, LA or London you’ve probably walked by his work without even noticing. His “name” is Banksy and he’s one of the most infamous street artists of our time. Earlier in 2010 he released a documentary, “Exit Through The Gift Shop”, which originally was slated to focus on his own work and ended up turning into something else all together.
The story follows the travels and adventures of an unlikely Frenchman named Terry who sets out to give us a peek into the secretive life of Banksy and a few other contemporary street artists. However, while in the process Bansky decides that Terry is way more interesting than any of the artists he’d been documenting and decided to turn the camera on Terry instead.
Below is an interview with the producer and editor of the film, which goes further into the story about Terry and Banksy’s relationship. Enjoy.
